Regardless of what brings you here today, do you know what is it that you’re really looking for? If you’re here because you experience an aching back, think about what it would be like if you eliminated your back ache. What would you experience? How would the absence of pain affect you? A session with me will include questions like these so we can uncover what is important and meaningful to you. Knowing what really motivates you will empower you to take action and move forward, no matter what outcome you’re looking for.
The Path Ahead
Getting clear on the specific results you’re after is key. Moving toward a goal of “getting rid of pain” will be a far different experience for both of us when compared to pursuing an outcome like “connection and fun with my family and friends.” I prefer to move toward something that inspires and motivates me, and that’s the approach I take with my clients.
Your sessions with me will be customized to meet your individual needs, whether you’re looking to improve your golf game, hike up a mountain, experience more enjoyment playing with your grandkids, spend more rewarding time in the garden, or run a marathon.
Myths you may have heard:
I’m damaged in some way and need fixing?
You are not a machine, and you don’t need to be “fixed!”
Correcting my posture will eliminate my symptoms?
There is no single “correct” way to sit or stand.
My x-rays or scans show the cause of my pain?
Test results, scans, and MRI images are important, but they also contain some really scary sounding terms such as degeneration, disc bulges, or arthritis. What these scans don’t tell you is that these findings are really common in people who don’t have pain.

My approach is to partner with you on this journey as you move toward vibrancy, wholeness and health. I utilize a wide variety of tools and techniques gathered from many sources:
- physical therapy,
- personal training,
- strength and conditioning training,
- functional movement,
- pain science education, and
- mindfulness and meditation practices.

I first met Lindy 10 years ago at her Pilates studio. After several years of sustaining sports related injuries, Pilates helped me to recover and develop an exercise program that allowed me to workout injury-free for the first time in many years. Despite my success with Pilates, I moved on to other forms of exercise, and once again sustained injuries to my shoulder and hip. In desperation, I reconnected with Lindy last spring, assuming that she would help me get back on track through Pilates exercises. I was certain this was the only form of exercise that would ever allow me to workout consistently while remaining injury-free.
In our first session, Lindy asked me what kind of exercise I enjoy the most. I told her that I enjoy high intensity training exercises that get my heart rate up and build strength, but that my body simply would no longer cooperate. Since Pilates was the only exercise I had done without injury, I thought that working with her privately with the goal of getting back into Pilates classes was the best I could achieve. To my surprise, Lindy quickly had me engaged in high intensity workouts, as well as Pilates- based exercises. Lindy’s unique background of Physical Therapy, Pilates and personal training brings a wealth of resources to her one-on-one sessions. I am now fully engaged in a workout routine that brings me joy, freedom of movement and strength. Lindy’s tremendous insights into functional movement have given me the tools to work through and recover from my injuries, while fulfilling my fitness goals. I am thrilled and grateful to be working with Lindy.
