When Lindy was a little girl growing up in Sydney, Australia, she didn’t play with dolls – she dismembered them! Curious about how things were put together, Lindy spent hours taking her dolls and toys apart and figuring out how they worked. Perhaps this is why she eventually joined the Physiotherapy profession!
After spending a couple of years in Physiotherapy practice in Sydney, Australia, Lindy moved to Steamboat Springs, CO, to pursue her love of skiing. Over the next several years, she worked as an EMT/Ski Patroller, a fitness club manager and group fitness instructor (rocking the mandatory ‘80’s head-band and leg-warmers), a rafting guide, and did a variety of other odd-jobs to pay the bills.
Returning to Physical Therapy practice in Denver in 1987, Lindy quickly became frustrated with the limitations of the profession she’d left almost a decade before. She married and had two beautiful boys, but remained profoundly disheartened and empty in her professional life. By the late 1990’s she was in physical, emotional and spiritual crisis and in March 2000, was faced with a choice—to change almost everything about her life, or continue to suffer. She chose to live life fully, in all its messy, glorious, amazing-ness and has spent the last 20 years following her passion to evolve and grow mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
Lindy founded Park Meadows Center for Movement in 2005, supporting people to optimize their health by learning to think and feel differently about their physical and movement experience. In July 2020, the brick and mortar studio closed due to COVID-19 challenges, providing an opportunity to keep the best parts of the Center for Movement and expand virtually to support more people in optimizing their health.
As a practicing Physical Therapist, Lindy applies a whole body-mind approach to her work, fusing evidence-based science with mindfulness practices. She’s a Balanced Body Master Instructor, specializing in rehab Pilates training for Physical Therapists; a Level II Franklin Method Educator, teaching the art and science of dynamic imagery techniques for physical performance enhancement and an apprentice with Conscious Transformation, helping people shift limiting mental, emotional and physical patterns to reach their full potential.
